Q
Do Orbital have any plans to release the track "Chime 2000" as it was performed at CREAM 2000 New Year Party ? If so, how can I obtain a copy?
A

There was going to be a live ep for last years tour given away as a prize by London Records - but it fell through for some reason. There are no plans to release Chime 2000 as you refer to it...but we never say never :)

Is the track "Impact part 2" actually the track on the "diversions" album entitled "Impact USA (the earth is burning:diversion)" ?
A

NO - they are different. Impact USA was reworked from the original concept from the Brown album

Q
How do I get hold of Orbital's rare tracks like "Belfast Wasted" etc. Is there an album or EP with these tracks on it which I could buy direct from Loopz?
A

Afraid not. I can only suggest you search auction sites and rare record websites.

What is the title of the song that is a mix of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" and Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a Place on Earth", and what album is it off of?
A

The track is called HALCYON (live). They only use these samples in the live environment and the only place you can this actual version of Halcyon is on the bonus cd of the 2nd US release of In Sides (click on the link for additional information on the release).

Q
Can you recommend any shops (on or off line) where I could buy Orbital's earlier singles on CD such as Chime and Omen?
A

Its a difficult question and one that i do not have the answer to. I can only suggest that you keep looking. Omen and Chime on Cd is quite hard to find. The copies i located was at a rare record fair that was advertised in Record Collector Magazine. Dont give up :)

Q
Do orbital plan to release a singles collection in the near future? One that would include the rare singles you can't get any more like Omen , Open Mind, Satan III Ep, Raddicio , Belfast Wasted etc.
A

There are no plans to release a singles collection at time of writing. My only advise in finding these gems is to keep searching rare record/cd online shops. Some that you name are not as hard to find as you think (Belfast Wasted).

Q
Do they have any plans to release songs from the recent Middle of Nowhere tour, like the superb Satan Live EP's which were released in 1996?
A
There will be a limited edition (500 copies) CDR of the 5 live tracks from the 1999 Middle of Nowhere tour. The tracks were picked by a voting system created by 3 websites - including Loopz. At time of writing (update) the people behind the release have gone quiet and it is unsure whether this will actually see the light of day. Release date - Unknown

Q
Where did "Halcyon + On + On" get its name?
A

Paul wasnt 100 percent sure where he got the name from until i mentioned the English TV advertisement that used the phrase "Ariston and on and on and on". He believes that this is main reason they called it Halcyon + on + on.
